The KINGPIN Distribution Tool (DT) from XBREW COFFEE is the latest innovation in coffee distribution technology. We designed the KINGPIN DT to easily and quickly perform the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT). The KINGPIN DT is CNC’d from a single block of aluminium and comes with 8 adjustable micro-feather pins The pins fluff out coffee clumps and evenly distribute the coffee powder in the portafilter as they spin.
We have tested many different coffee distribution tools and found that the KINGPIN is effective in minimising channeling. It’s also simple to use - place the KINGPIN DT on your portafilter and give it a few spins. That is it, your puck is now ready to tamp.
The placement of the 8 micro-feather pins is optimised through computer modelling. The length of the needles can be adjusted to suit different portafilters. The pins pick up very little coffee powder and cleaning them is a breeze. Just place the KINGPIN DT back on the included stand-brush and give it a little twist. The Kingpin is now ready for your next cuppa.
